Margaret Soraya has been capturing the landscapes of the Highlands & islands of Scotland for 25 years. Her home is Drumnadrochit in the Highlands and she spends much of her time travelling solo through remote areas in Scotland. She has been working as a professional photographer for the past 16 years and has been commissioned to travel to photograph in countries such as Italy, America, Iceland, the Azores, Swaziland, Sri Lanka and Croatia. .

Her work has featured in National Geographic Traveller, Rough Guides, Camera Craft, Professional Photographer, Outdoor Photography. Margaret has exhibited her evocative seascapes of the Outer Hebrides on the Isle of Harris and at The Bosham Gallery, Chichester. The exhibition “ Quiet” was based around the healing power of solitude and an observation on the strengths of introversion.

Her own work has an emotive and gentle feel to it, enhanced by the use of ND filters to slow the shutter down and create soft gentle seascapes. Filters form an crucial part of Margaret’s work.
